Ian Ford is Senior Research Fellow and Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Glasgow. He was formerly Head of the Department of Statistics, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Mathematical Sciences and Director of the Robertson Centre for Biostatistics and the Glasgow CTU at the University of Glasgow. He has published extensively in the clinical and statistical literature.
He is Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the International Statistical Institute, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh and the Society for Clinical Trials and is deputy editor of Clinical Trials. His research interests are in the design, conduct, analysis and interpretation of clinical trials and associated methodologies, with a particular interest in the reuse of routinely collected health data.
