Clinical trials must have a sponsor who takes legal and financial responsibility for the trial. UCC investigators may request that UCC act as sponsor for their investigator led/ academic trial. UCC sponsor office has the expertise required to enable UCC to fulfil its responsibilities as a trial sponsor.

Ruben has over 20 years’ experience in quality, regulatory affairs, and pharmacovigilance in Clinical trials. She is responsible for quality oversight of UCC sponsored clinical trials/ studies in all research Institutes, centres, units, and departments where clinical research is carried out throughout the University. Ruben reports to Clinical Research Reporting Officer (CRRO) Dr Muiris Dowling at UCC Sponsor office.
