Amy Stone

Project Manager / Research Nurse

Amy joined the HRB CRF-UCC as a Clinical Research Nurse in 2018. She holds BSc (Hons) in General Nursing and Masters degree in Public Health, both from University College Cork. She also holds a certificate in PRINCE2 project management methodology.

Since 2020, Amy has been the Project Manager on “PROTECT“, a HRB funded research project developing a proficiency-based, multidisciplinary, team simulation training programme to improve communication among healthcare professionals and reduce patient harm.

Amy was previously involved in many academic and commercial clinical trials in the CRF-UCC, across a range of disciplines including neurology and cardiology. Prior to her research career, Amy worked in Gerontological Nursing, caring for older adults and their families, both in the acute and community settings.
